Autobiography To Date:  2020

Terrance O'Donnell & Slice of Life Pictures.

I was born in Chicago in 1951, and raised in it's northern suburb, Glenview Illinois. Educated

in photography mainly by my father who had worked in the photography field throughout his

professional life. Dad  (Earl O'Donnell previously of O'Donnell Studios/Chicago) planted the seed

of a B&W darkroom in our home, so we (my four brothers and I) could learn, and enjoy

printing our own pictures.  Since that time, when I was approximately 13 years old, that seed has

grown into a lifetime goal of taking pictures of just about any subject that would make a good

picture, or more desirably scenes that 'touch me.'  Briefly considering architectural photography

as a career, I took a professionals class specifically for this purpose.  A requirement was to bring

our portfolios to class.  Upon seeing my variety of pictures a fellow student commented,

" Terry what you have here is a Slice of Life. "

Definitely a lot of truth to that, so be it...
"Slice of Life Pictures."

Of all the pictures within, the picture I was most moved, or excited about taking was

 '
Heartland,' put in my Favorites category.  Like I summarized to a cousin, then "art teacher, " I

was still excited about having been able to take the picture three days later."

Thanks For Stopping By, Terry O'Donnell
